For those that have a need to trailer a vehicle often this car hauler is an excellent choice. With a carhauler you can get all four wheels of the trailered vehicle off the ground and avoid wear and tear.
Trailer Safety Tip of the Day:
Trailers such as car haulers may sometimes become unusued for extended periods of time. Every trailer should have a thorough inspection before resuming use. Sometimes tires may have plenty of tread and at a glance may seem to be in good condition but a closer look is neccessary. Tires may develop dry rot. Tire failure can be extremely dangerous especially when carrying heavy loads such as a vehicle. Even if you don't have an accident you may end up changing tires on your car hauler trailer on the side of the road.
Look closely for signs of cracking or glazing. Dry rot is caused by the compounds in the rubber drying out. Keeping the sidewalls dressed with something like Armorall will help. (AVOID GETTING DRESSING ON THE TIRE TREAD!)
Even though your carhauler is sitting around, heat and cold make the tire expand and contract. When you put air in a tire it also introduces moisture. This is also a cause of rot. Always check your tire pressure on your car hauler before loading a vehicle on it. Adjust the air pressure first. Then load your car hauler.
